Explosion Box

Birthday box

This is one of the easiest Explosion boxes around. This is a wonderful card to use all of your scraps up on. I love that there is room to place a small gift in the middle as a surprise or add a gift card inside one of the wonderful pockets. The possiblities are endless.

Score a 12 x 12 piece of DSP at 4" and 8" rotate one time and repeat. You should have nine 4" sqaures. Cut out four of the squares until you have a peice like this.

Take the four pieces that you have cut out and trim to a 3 3/4" square. Cut four pieces of coordinating cardstock 4" square. Cut one piece of coordinating cardstock to 3 3/4" square.

Cut 4" pieces diagonally in half and cut DSP 3 3/4" pieces diagonally in half. Adhere the DSP to the Card Stock.

Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock:
(1) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 "
(4) 3" x 3 1/2"

Stamp the sentiment on the 3 1/2" square piece and adhere to the coordinating 3 3/4" square in the middle of the dsp.

Round the edges on the 3 x 3 1/2" pieces and decorate as desired. Then punch hole in the top long end middle and use baker's twine to create a tag

Decorate the top and sides as desired.

Lid

For the lid cut a piece of DSP 6" square. Score at 7/8" and cut on black lines in photo.
